Project Type

Object and architectural concept

The project was implemented in Warsaw and represents a modern private house with a clearly defined architectural concept: maximum use of open space, light, and visual connection with the surroundings. From the design stage, it was established that glazing would not be a secondary element but a key part of the architecture, shaping both the exterior appearance of the building and the perception of the interior space. The main focus is on panoramic areas, corner solutions, and double-height living space, creating a sense of volume and depth without overloading the structure.

From an architectural perspective, the house is built on the contrast between defined facade lines and large open glazed surfaces: wide window openings, corner glazing without visual interruptions, and double-height spaces create the effect of “open walls.” This solution not only allows more light to enter but also completely transforms the perception of the interior — the space integrates with the exterior environment, while the facade gains a modern, high-end character.

Systems used and types of constructions

The project uses an aluminum system Aluprof MB-79— it is a thermal system designed for the implementation of large-format structures while maintaining high energy efficiency. The choice of aluminum is driven not only by aesthetics but also by technical necessity: with such dimensions, aluminum systems provide the required rigidity, geometric stability, and long-term durability.

Comprehensive solutions have been implemented in the house: panoramic windows, corner glazing of stained-glass type, HS lift-and-slide systems, windows with concealed fittings, and aluminum entrance doors with panel infill. In addition, windscreen systems have been installed — a textile sun protection solution that allows control of overheating without overloading the facade — as well as French glass railings that maintain visual lightness and do not disrupt the overall architectural line.

Scale of glazing and glass characteristics

One of the key features of the project is the scale of glazing: large-format structures have been installed in the house, with some glass units exceeding 300 kg in weight. This is not just a visual solution, but a technical challenge that requires precise load calculations, proper system selection, and professional installation. Large glass surfaces provide panoramic views and fill the space with natural light, especially in the double-height living area.

A double-glazed unit (triple-pane) with a thermal transmittance coefficient has been used Ug ≈ 0.6, which ensures a high level of thermal insulation even with large glass surfaces. This type of glazing provides a balance between energy efficiency and light transmission, reducing heat loss in winter and protecting against overheating in summer, which is especially important for homes with panoramic glazing.

Installation specifics and engineering solutions

The installation in this project required a comprehensive technical approach, as several factors were combined: the heavy weight of the structures, the complex geometry of the facade, and the need to ensure a high level of airtightness and energy efficiency. Specialized equipment was used for installation, as working manually with elements weighing over 300 kg involves risks for both precision and final quality.

Special attention was paid to the installation joints: waterproofing and vapor barrier were applied both inside and outside, a thermal break was implemented, and a special material was used in the lower zone to separate the contact between the interior and exterior concrete. These solutions are critical to prevent condensation, heat loss, and future эксплуатационных проблем — it is precisely in these areas that mistakes are most often made in standard projects.

Final result of the project

As a result, glazing has been implemented that fully соответствует architectural concept of the house and enhances it: the space has become visually more spacious, brighter, and deeper, while the facade has acquired a modern and distinctive character. This effect is especially noticeable in the double-height area, where panoramic glazing reveals the volume of the space and creates a sense of openness without limits.

At the same time, it was possible to maintain a balance between aesthetics and technical performance — the house stands out not only for its appearance, but also for its high level of energy efficiency, sound insulation, and comfort. This is a clear example of how glazing can function not as a standalone element, but as an integral part of the architectural and engineering system of the building.

Role of Safe Smart Energy

The company Safe Smart Energy carried out the project in a comprehensive manner: from system selection and technical development to supply and installation in accordance with all regulations. The main goal was not simply to install structures, but to create a solution that functions correctly in the long term and fully integrates into the architectural concept of the project.

Thanks to this comprehensive approach, all details were taken into account — from structural loads and thermal performance to the visual perception of the facade. As a result, the client received not just glazing, but a complete system that combines aesthetics, reliability, and functionality.
