Modern architecture is increasingly built around light, space, and a sense of openness. A clear example of this approach is the glazing project carried out in a complex of private villas in the city of Benidorm, located on the Costa Blanca coast, between Alicante and Valencia.
This complex consists of six contemporary villas, where panoramic windows and large-format sliding systems play a key role in the architecture. Thanks to this solution, the living space literally integrates with the outdoor environment, and the terrace together with the pool area becomes an extension of the living space.
The window systems for this project were supplied by the company Safe Smart Energy, which specializes in modern glazing solutions for residential and commercial properties.
Architecture designed around light and space
In the design of the villas, the main goal was to create interiors that are as bright and visually spacious as possible. Therefore, the architects opted for floor-to-ceiling panoramic glazing.
Large glazed surfaces fill the space with natural light throughout the day and create a sense of openness. This type of solution is particularly relevant in a Mediterranean climate, where sunlight and the surrounding landscape become part of the interior.
Panoramic windows allow residents to enjoy views of the terrace, the pool, and the surroundings without leaving the house.

Large-format sliding systems
One of the key features of the project is the HS lift-and-slide systems. They make it possible to create large glazed openings while maintaining structural strength and ease of use.
This complex uses large-format sliding systems of up to 5.5 meters in width and 2.5 meters in height. These structures become the central element of the façade and create the effect of a “glass wall”.
Despite their size, the lift-and-slide systems open easily and ensure smooth gliding of the panels. This makes it possible, with a single motion, to open up the living room space and connect it with the terrace and pool area.

Pool access without thresholds or steps
In the project, special attention has been paid to the connection between the interior of the home and the outdoor relaxation area.
The sliding systems are installed at the same level as the floor, with no steps or thresholds. Thanks to this architectural solution, the interior space naturally extends onto the terrace and towards the pool.
This approach not only enhances the visual perception of the interior but also makes the home more comfortable for everyday living.
In practice, the living room and the pool area become a single space that can be opened or closed depending on the weather and the owners’ preferences.

Energy-efficient glazing
To ensure comfort in the homes, energy-efficient insulated glass units are used with a thermal transmittance coefficient Ug of 1.1.
This type of glazing helps maintain a stable indoor temperature and reduces heat loss. In the Mediterranean climate, this is especially important, as glazed surfaces are exposed to intense solar radiation.
Energy-efficient glazing helps keep the interior cool in summer and reduces air-conditioning costs.

Contemporary design and color solutions
The architectural concept of the complex is based on minimalism and material contrast.
The white façades of the villas convey a sense of purity and lightness, while the anthracite window systems (RAL 7016) emphasize the geometry of the building and add depth to the architecture.
This color combination makes the panoramic glazing a key element of the exterior aesthetics of the homes and reinforces the contemporary style of the project.
Panoramic glazing as a key element of the modern villa
Today, panoramic windows and sliding systems have become one of the main elements of contemporary architecture in private homes.
They allow:
• fill the home with natural light
• visually expand the space
• create a direct connection between the interior and nature
• integrate the home with the terrace and relaxation area
In projects with a pool, these solutions are especially in demand, as they allow the living room to open directly towards the water and create a resort-like atmosphere at home.
Supply of window systems for the project
Within the scope of this project, Safe Smart Energy supplied window systems for the entire villa complex.
The use of modern materials, panoramic structures, and energy-efficient glazing has made it possible to create an architecture in which glazing is no longer just a façade element but becomes an essential part of the housing concept.
